Scope
This section comprises poetry. Songs with football related themes or references are listed in the Films and Music section. The works cited are either specifically about Australian Rules football, make use of football as a setting or theme, or refer to football in ways that are important to the structure of a work. Some poems are untitled. These have been annotated where possible to indicate the subject of the poem, with the first line included in some cases to provide a sense of the poem’s theme.
